Mindfulness is the art of bringing a direct, non-judging awareness to our own experience, moment-by-moment.

Through this transformative practice, we learn skillful means to work with life’s difficulties and challenges that manifest in physical pain, emotional difficulties, trauma, and the day-to-day stresses and tensions of modern life.

We also learn to cultivate beneficial qualities of peace, joy and well-being that can bring about profound transformations in our lives. As a long-time practitioner of mindfulness meditation, a Buddhist spiritual teacher, minister and counselor, Hugh provides training in mindfulness in a variety of different forms and settings. These include:

  • regular meditation classes, consulting, and retreats
  • courses in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
  • individual and group sessions to:
    • support the development of a mindfulness-meditation practice
    • work with the challenges of work, relationships, chronic pain, trauma, and other stresses of life.
